A new, portable toolkit from Harris Products Group makes it easier for HVAC service technicians to repair leaks in aluminum and copper coils in the field. The six-piece brazing repair kit features Harris Stay-Silv® 15, the industry’s most widely used brazing alloy for copper HVAC brazing and repairs. The kit also includes ALUXCOR®, an alloy designed specifically for aluminum brazing and repairs. Included in the handy kit are two wire brushes -- one for aluminum repair preparation, and the other for copper. The brushes are color coded to match the caps on the corresponding alloy tubes so techs can easily select the proper brush and alloy. A cloth for general cleaning is also supplied. All items are stored in a canvas bag with a compartment for each item. The kit attaches easily to the technician’s service belt for easy access to the items when needed.
“At a time when the market labor is tight and technicians are under pressure to complete their work at a faster pace, we’re working to relieve some of that time pressure by providing solutions to make their jobs easier, like this repair kit,” said Brian Henderson of Harris Products Group.
