New Finance Column

Next month we will be introducing a new column that will outline a customized stock chart of publicly-traded companies in the hvacr industry in a clear, easy-to-read format. It includes current and comparison stock prices, net and percentage change of those stocks, shares outstanding and market capitalization. Commentary and analysis will also be included.  The author of the column will be Margot Crabtree from Trade Trends Inc. We haven’t yet decided on a name for the column so, if you’d care to submit a catchy name and we select it we’ll send you a $100 American Express gift card just in time for the holiday season. Send your idea to me at ttanker@hvacrbusiness.com

Subscription Renewal / Wager

Angela Vannucci our Circulation Manager stopped in my office this morning with an extensive plan to qualify our readership starting this month.  We have a small wager that I could entice 2,500 of you to go to our website and renew your subscription. That’s just a bit less than ten percent of our total subscriber file. All you have to do is go to our website and look to the left hand navigation bar. It’s organized in alphabetical order — scroll the list until you see “Subscription Center” and click it. Then, here’s all you need to do.

  • Select “Renew Subscription”
  • Enter your “Subscriber ID” found on the mailing label.
  • This is a ten digit number above your name between two # signs.
  • (Yes, I know the label is printed upside down, that’s a Postal Regulation)
  • Enter your last name.
  • Your subscription form will pre-populate with any information we have on file.
  • Review your information and make any necessary updates, then complete the short list of questions. It takes less than 2 minutes to complete the form.
  • When you are done hit submit and your subscription will be renewed for one more year! For FREE!!!

Tragedy

HVACR Business Editor Greg Smith’s son was killed several weeks ago leaving behind a five year old son. As a result, Greg is on an indefinite leave of absence until all of the affairs are settled.  There is never a good time to lose a family member but during the holiday season it makes it especially hard. A fund has been set up for Greg’s grandson Ryder. Please consider a small donation to help Ryder’s future education. Any donations made by our readers will be matched by HVACR Business. Simply write HVACR Business in the memo line. Donations can be sent to the Ryder Smith Benefit Fund, c/o First Federal of Lakewood, 36839 Detroit Road, Avon Lake, OH 44011.
