Aeroseal HomeSeal Duct Sealing System
CENTERVILLE, OH – Aeroseal's next-generation HomeSeal system is a self-contained, pre-assembled aerosol duct sealing system unit in an easy roller transport case that represents a total redesign of the current duct sealing equipment used by licensed Aeroseal dealers. The more compact model, designed specifically for residential duct sealing projects, reduces the number of components and connections used to set up the equipment. The entire assembly is now integrated into a single portable unit that makes it faster and easier then ever to set up, use and put away.
Aeroseal's aerosol ductwork sealing technology was developed by the Energy Performance of Buildings Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This technology internally seals duct leaks in air distribution ducts by injecting a fog of aerosolized sealant particles into a pressurized duct system. The key to the technology is to keep the particles suspended within the air stream without depositing on the duct surfaces until they reach the leaks, where they leave the air stream, deposit at the leak edges, and seal the leaks.
